Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period of Medicare Part D

Open enrollment period of Medicare Part D comes only once a year.
 

This year it is October 15 - December 7, 2014. If you are 65 and over, this is the time to changes to your Medicare supplemental drug plan coverage. If you enroll in a plan during Fall Open Enrollment, your coverage starts January 1.

Are you turning 65? The enrollment period for Medigap starts right now.

It lasts for 6 months and starts on the first day of the month that you are both 65 years old and enrolled in Medicare Part B. During this time, you have your choice of any Medigap plan offered in your state. Shop around on this site and compare.

 

If you miss the deadline, you can still apply for Medigap insurance - and it becomes even more important to shop around because not all insurance companies will be able to cover
